Who is in The Bubble cast on Netflix - including Karen Gillan and Pedro Pascal

2020 is a year that few of us will forget in a hurry. However, it’s safe to say one word most didn’t associate with it is “comedy.”

That said, 2020 is the year legendary director/producer Judd Apatow (The King of Staten Island, Knocked Up, The 40-Year-Old Virgin) has chosen to set his latest film in – and it sounds hilarious.

The Bubble follows the story of a group of actors who are isolated at a fancy English hotel in the pursuit of making the cheesy action film “Cliff Beasts 6”. The group must form a Covid-safe “Bubble” to carry on work on the film, which is one of only two movies in production in October of 2020.

The official Netflix synopsis states, “Sneaking out. Hooking up. Melting down. The cast and crew of a blockbuster action franchise attempt to shoot a sequel while quarantining at a posh hotel.”

The movie has an ensemble cast that features some huge names in the world of comedy, TV and film, with some cameo appearances from actors that you might not have expected to see. Some of the names involved with the film have had some significant parts in the past, including Iris Apatow (daughter of director Judd Apatow), who will be familiar to fans as Ingrid from Funny People and Charlotte in Knocked Up, Karen Gillan, who audiences will recognize from Avengers: Endgame, Guardians of the Galaxy and Selfie, and TV legend, David Duchovny who famously played Agent Fox Mulder in The X Files and alcoholic author Hank Moody in Californication.

Pedro Pascal has proved an audience favourite in the past for his parts in Game of Thrones and Narcos, as well as proving a big hit recently as the title character in the Disney+ series The Mandalorian.
