We are closing in on the business end of the League One season and the play-off race is set for an exhilarating conclusion. 

Ahead of the season, there was a lot of talk about how competitive the third tier would be in 2021/22 and it has not disappointed, that’s for sure.

11th-placed Bolton Wanderers are just eight points back with 11 games still to play, highlighting just how many teams are still within reach of the top six.

The next few months will settle who has a chance at promotion to the Championship and whose season should be deemed a disappointment – and we’re expecting some key players to have a significant say in that.
