Whitstable Town player-manager Jamie Coyle reacts to 2-1 FA Vase fifth round win at home to Fleet Town

Whitstable Town player-boss Jamie Coyle hailed Saturday’s FA Vase win as one for their supporters.

Coyle guided his team to the last eight, the club’s best-ever run in the competition, with another accomplished defensive display as they beat Fleet Town 2-1 at The Belmont.

“I thought we were outstanding,” said Coyle. “Obviously I’m absolutely delighted, I’m delighted for the players, the management team and the club.

“The boys have put their bodies on the line and we've got through to the furthest the club's ever been.

“They're a good side and I wish them all the best for the rest of the season. They conducted themselves brilliantly at the end, great management team and I know one or two of their players.”

On left-back Boulton, who spent time earlier this season at Sutton Athletic, Coyle said: “He's fresh out of Dartford Academy. He hasn't had much experience
