Where to watch Man City v Real Madrid for free on TV tonight
Manchester City will play Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League play-offs at the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday night. City managed to make it through to the next round of the competition after a 3-1 victory against Club Brugge at the end of last month.
While the Champions League is normally broadcast on TNT Sports, this fixture will instead be shown via Amazon Prime. If you're not already a member, there's a way you can watch the match for free.
I've rounded up all the information you need to know about the upcoming match, as well as how to watch it all for free. Here's what you need to know:
Last month's victory saw Manchester City qualify for the two-leg play-offs in 22nd place out of 36 teams, with Pep Guardiola’s men picking up 11 points from eight games. However, it hasn’t been plain sailing for the 36-time La Liga winners either, with Jude Bellingham’s team losing three of their eight European fixtures so far this season.
Tuesday’s fixture marks the fifth time Man City and Real Madrid have met in the past six Champions League campaigns. City earned an emphatic 5-1 win on aggregate across two semi-final legs in the 2022/23 season, but were eliminated 4-3 as Madrid took revenge last season.
Ahead of the game, Guardiola told Sky Sports it is ‘impossible’ to stop Madrid front four Vinicius Jr, Rodrygo, Kylian Mbappe and Jude Bellingham. He said: “It’s impossible in 90 minutes, 180 minutes or 200 minutes to control these four players.
“Everybody knows, so I’m not saying anything new – they are exceptional. How they combine, the runners, the ability one against one, how they keep the ball. All four are exceptional. We have to reduce their involvement as much as possible and know it is going to happen, accept it.”
