When is UFC 295? UK start time and TV channel for Aspinall vs Pavlovich and Pereira vs Prochazka
Manchester’s Tom Aspinall faces the biggest test of his career so far when he faces Sergei Pavlovich for the UFC’s interim heavyweight title.
The Salford-born fighter steps in for defending champion Jon Jones, who pulled out of the Madison Square Garden event with a pectoral injury. Having headlined two UFC London cards, it will be a very different experience for Aspinall as he takes to the Octagon in New York and it will be a huge step up in occasion for the 30-year-old.
Jones’ injury has accelerated Aspinall’s title aspirations, which he outlined in July to MEN following his winning comeback from a year-long knee injury lay-off. He faces a huge challenge in the form of Pavlovich, with the Russian having won his past six fights via first round knockouts.
