When is the Europa League last-16 draw? Date, start time, TV channel and seeded teams for knockout round

West Ham will discover their opponents in the Europa League last-16 on Friday after topping their group in the first stage of the competition.

Getting the better of Dinamo Zagreb in the groups meant the Hammers dodged the precarious play-off round, introduced this year between Europa runners-up and the third-placed teams dumped out of the Champions League.

On Thursday, the likes of Borussia Dortmund, Barcelona, Napoli and Porto will slug it out for a place in the last-16.

Here’s everything you need to know ahead of the draw...

The draw for the Europa League last-16 will take place on Friday, February 25 at 11am GMT.

Uefa’s headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland will host the draw ceremony.

The eight winners of the Europa League groups will be seeded in the last-16, with the eight play-off tie winners unseeded. In addition, two teams of the same national association cannot be drawn together.

Seeded teams: West Ham, Crvena zvezda, Eintracht Frankfurt, Galatasaray, Bayer Leverkusen, Lyon, Monaco, Spartak Moscow.

Unseeded teams: Barcelona or Napoli, Zenit or Real Betis, Borussia Dortmund or Rangers, FC Sheriff or Braga, Sevilla, Atalanta, RB Leipzig, Porto.

The unseeded teams, made up of Champions League third-placed finishers and Europa League group runners-up, will complete the second leg of their play-off ties on Thursday night.

TV channel: The draw will be broadcast live on BT Sport 1.

Live stream: Uefa’s website and YouTube channel, plus the BT Sport website and app will stream the draw online.

The first legs will be played on Thursday, March 10, with the reverse fixtures scheduled for March 17.

The seeded teams are guaranteed to be at home in the second leg.
