When is Christmas jumper day 2024?

Nothing divides the nation like a tacky Christmas jumper.

But whatever your preference, cheesy or stylish, Christmas jumpers are an unavoidable part of the holiday season. And each year, there is a national Christmas Jumper Day to raise money for charity.

Christmas Jumper Day 2024 takes place on Thursday 12 December to raise money for Save The Children. People can either create their own fundraising pages, using online platforms such as JustGiving, or donate directly to the website.

To take part in Christmas Jumper Day all you have to do is sign up, put the date in your calendar and use Save The Children's downloadable resources to help make the day as fun as possible..

Then on Thursday December 12, put on your favourite Christmas jumper, donate £2 to Save the Children and help kids everywhere get the best future ever.

And you don't have to spend a ton of cash on a brand new jumper, you can find second-hand Christmas jumpers in most charity shops around this time of year. This will help to give items a second home as well as saving you some pennies.

In 2023, Christmas Jumper Day raised a whopping total of £3 million for children in the UK and around the world, and more than 1.5 million children and teachers and 27,000 workplaces took part in the initiative.

Save The Children works in the UK and globally, and strived to keep children safe, healthy and learning. They assist with maternal and new born health by training midwives and setting up Emergency Health Units, they strive to reunite families who have been separated through conflict or climate change, as well as helping to provide food and medicine to those in need.
