When is Champions League final 2022? Date, kick-off time, venue and tickets

And the Premier League flag could be flying in a European final once again, with Pep Guardiola's Manchester City edging out Real Madrid 4-3 just a day earlier, setting up a tantalising tie at the Bernabeu next Wednesday. The prospect of an third all-English Champions League final in four years is a real possibility, and a meeting between Liverpool and the Citizens would be their fourth this season, with the Reds winning their last meeting in the FA Cup semi-final earlier this month.

With that, the possibility also remains for Klopp's side to secure a historic treble in what has been a tremendous season at Anfield, but that Sky Blue obstacle just an hour away, will not go down easily. But we still can not count out Villarreal, who showed signs of excellent defensive organisation whilst also dumping out some of Europe's elite, with Juventus and Bayern Munich already sunk by the Yellow Submarine.
