Wheelchair Basketball applauds BetKing for sponsorship support

The President of the Nigeria Wheelchair Basketball Federation (NWBF), Seyi Johnson, on Monday, praised BetKing for its support in promoting the growth of the federation.

According to Johnson, wheelchair basketball is one of the fastest-growing para-sports in Nigeria, and BetKing’s partnership and sponsorship have significantly boosted its development.

“BetKing has proven to be a true supporter of Nigerian sports, particularly special sports, through its unwavering support for the federation,” Johnson stated.

“On behalf of Nigeria Wheelchair Basketball, the entire board, and every stakeholder in the sport, I want to personally express my gratitude to BetKing for their immense contributions.

“Words cannot fully capture my appreciation because their support has been truly impactful. They have shown their commitment through actions, not just words.”

Johnson further revealed that BetKing’s response to their initial approach was overwhelmingly positive.

“When we reached out to them, it felt as though they were already expecting us. They demonstrated a deep understanding of Nigeria’s sporting history and acknowledged the significant role special sports have played in the country’s success at international competitions over the years,” he said.

The NWBF President emphasised the need for more corporate organizations to support para-sports, complementing the government’s efforts, especially in light of the ongoing restructuring and revamping of Nigerian sports under the newly established National Sports Commission (NSC).
