What Scott Carson wrote on Erling Haaland's match ball after Man City hat-trick vs Fulham

Manchester City goalkeeper Scott Carson has penned a brilliant message to Erling Haaland on the match ball he took home for scoring another Premier League hat-trick.

Haaland led the way, yet again, for City at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday afternoon as the reigning champions swept past Fulham to win 5-1 and maintain their 100 per cent start to the Premier League season. Haaland, 23, has picked up exactly where he left off last term with six goals in four games so far this term.

That took his overall tally for City to 58 goals from 59 appearances in all competitions and the assist he provided for Julian Alvarez to open the scoring was his 10th in that time. The weekend treble was Haaland's fifth in the Premier League alone since his £51million transfer from Borussia Dortmund last summer.

Nathan Ake grabbed the other goal for City on Saturday but Haaland was the centre of attention. Shortly after the victory, he posted several images on his Instagram account and was inundated with praise from his teammates, pundits and City supporters from across the world.

In a short message to his followers accompanied by a picture of him with the match ball, Haaland posted: "Happy. Thank you for all the support everyone! See you all soon."

That post drew in more than 1,000,000 likes from Instagram users as well as thousands and thousands of comments. But it was an on-ball message from Carson that caught the eye.
