Going on holiday is exciting, but it can be stressful thinking about all the things you to do and the checks you have to pass through before you reach your destination. Making sure you’ve got all the correct documents, the right baggage allowance and being early for your flight are just some of the things you need to think about when jetting off abroad

Of course, making sure you have your passport with you is an absolute must when travelling - or an ID card if that’s relevant. If you don’t have the right documents you could be denied boarding and end up with your holiday ruined.

Depending on whether you’re flying on an international or domestic flight rules can vary when it comes to what documents you need. There are some flights where you only need an ID card and not a passport.

We’ve looked at the latest guidance for travel documents from Ryanair, Jet2, easyJet and Tui regarding passports and ID for domestic and international flights and rounded it up below. It’s important to double check that you’ve got everything you need before you travel.
