Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich and record-signing Romelu Lukaku were filmed embracing after winning the FIFA Club World Cup on Saturday.

It was the first time the club had secured the title having lost out to Corinthians in their only previous appearance back in 2012.

It is a week that could well be viewed as a big one for Lukaku when we look back on the 2021-22 campaign.

Following an ill-judged interview at the start of the year, the 28-year-old's stock plummeted among the Chelsea supporters and his performances in 2022 have failed to repair that reputation.
