What Manchester United should do with Old Trafford as redevelopment plans are explored

Manchester United are currently exploring plans to redevelop Old Trafford, which could include dramatic plans to rebuild the stadium on its current site.

The club are in talks with planners over the potential redevelopment, with plenty of options on the table, including extending the south stand over the railway lines and completely rebuilding the stadium.

With United yet to appoint a partner for the work, planners competing for the contract have offered the club a variety of schemes to go forward with, which has left officials keeping an open mind.

We want your view on how the club should proceed with construction work at Old Trafford.

Given the choice of three options - fixing the things that need to be fixed, redeveloping the south stand, or rebuilding the whole stadium - what do you feel the club should do?

Have your say in the survey below - and you can also debate the options in the comments beneath this story.

Whilst Old Trafford used to be considered the Premier League's leading stadium, new builds at Arsenal and Spurs have set the standard in England, with Everton also in the process of constructing a new ground.

A lack of investment at Old Trafford has not helped, with videos of leaks in the roof going viral, and many fans commenting on how tired parts of the stadium now look.

It means it has become clear that, despite its huge size still making it the second-largest football stadium in the UK, Old Trafford is in need of an upgrade.

So, how should the club approach a revamp? Have your say in the survey above and the comments below.
