What channel is Champions League football on tonight? How to watch on TV in UK

With Chelsea now out of the picture in the Premier League - not to mention all the turmoil going on behind the scenes at the club - the Blues will hope to make a statement tonight in their Champions League knockout clash with Real Madrid in a season-defining tie.

In the night's other tie, Bayern Munich will travel to Villarreal, who surprisingly knocked out Juventus after beating them 3-0 in Turin. The winner of Chelsea's two-legged quarter final clash against Real will go on to face Manchester City or Atletico, whilst the winner of Bayern-Villarreal will face Liverpool or Benfica.

Both Manchester City and Liverpool will go into their second tie with the advantage after winning their first legs on Tuesday. City dominated the La Liga champions throughout the game, but came away with just the one goal lead, courtesy of a Kevin de Bruyne goal - with the Citizens having a tough tie travelling to Atletico for the second leg next week.

Liverpool, meanwhile will come back to Anfield for their second leg with a comfortable lead after winning 3-1 in Portugal. Goals from Ibrahima Konate, Sadio Mane and Luis Diaz have given the Reds the advantage, with Darwin Nunez pulling one back in the second-half.

The next set of first leg quarter-final matches take place tonight. Here's how you can watch both games.

With both games being on at the same time, Chelsea vs Real Madrid will be shown on BT Sport 2, whilst Villarreal vs Bayern Munich will be on BT Sport 3.

Coverage from Chelsea's game will begin at 7pm and run until 10:30pm while coverage of the other match begins slightly later at 7:15pm, running until 10:15pm.

Subscribers can also live stream the action via the BT Sport app, website and via Smart TVs.
