West Ham now in 'negotiations' over ex-La Liga star at London Stadium

West Ham are in negotiations to sign former Manchester United star Adnan Januzaj, according to transfer insider Dean Jones.

The 27-year-old is currently without a club after leaving Real Sociedad as a free agent earlier this summer, and it appears that he could now make a return to England.

As per AS, both West Ham and Everton are interested in signing Januzaj following his departure from La Liga outfit Real Sociedad.

The Belgian is, of course, familiar with the Premier League after spells at Manchester United and Sunderland, where he worked with West Ham’s current boss David Moyes.

MLS side LA Galaxy are also thought to be keen on Januzaj but, at his age, he may feel now is not the time to head to America.

West Ham and Everton, on the other hand, are likely to be more appealing options to the attacker, who would get the chance to play in English football’s top flight again if he decides to join one of them.

Jones has told GIVEMESPORT that Januzaj and West Ham are currently in negotiations over a transfer.

Speaking to GMS, the journalist said: “Januzaj and [Alexander] Isak have actually been very close throughout the summer. They’ve been training on their own for a lot of the summer together, they both were looking to leave Real Sociedad and they both travelled over together and they stayed in the same hotel in London last night.

“Januzaj has been looking to join West Ham. About a month ago, it looked like that a deal might be close and then West Ham switched to other options. I’m told that negotiations are going on right now with Januzaj.”
