West Ham handed major boost ahead of Sevilla amid Michail Antonio and Jarrod Bowen injury update

Aaron Cresswell is likely to be fit for West Ham's crunch Europa League game with Sevilla on Thursday, while Michail Antonio faces a late fitness test, understands.

The pair limped off during the Hammers' 2-1 win over Aston Villa on Sunday, with Cresswell suffering a knock to his ankle while Antonio pulled up holding his hamstring. Antonio was replaced by Andriy Yarmolenko in the 52nd minute with the Ukrainian going on to open the scoring 18 minutes later.

Cresswell joined Antonio in the treatment room just five minutes later after the left-back was replaced by Ryan Fredericks. Cresswell was seen walking out of the London Stadium unaided and without a limp post-match and understands he will be available for the Europa League clash.

has also been told that Antonio has not suffered a hamstring injury as first feared and it is his thigh that is the issue. It's hoped the striker will be fit to face Sevilla.

Elsewhere, Jarrod Bowen and Vladimir Coufal are again likely to be missing from the matchday squad on Thursday, while they are also doubts for Sunday's clash against Tottenham. Nikola Vlasic missed out against Villa having picked up a knock versus Sevilla but the Croatian is set to return to training this week with the injury not deemed a major one.

West Ham head into Thursday's tie with Sevilla knowing they need to win at the London Stadium in order to have a chance of progressing to the quarter-finals of the Europa League. Munir El Haddadi's second half strike last week earned Sevilla a 1-0 advantage over the Hammers.
