West Brom make pre-season announcement as preparations get under way

West Bromwich Albion have announced a pair of pre-season friendlies as the club continue preparations ahead of the 2022/23 campaign.

The Baggies will kick off their summer programme with a game against League Two outfit Crewe Alexandra. The match will take place at 3pm on Saturday, 16 July at the wonderfully named Mornflake Stadium.

Three days West Brom head south for a meeting with League One side Oxford United, who are managed by Karl Robinson. The game kicks off at 7.45pm on Tuesday, 19 July at the Kassam Stadium.

There are no ticket details as of yet, but they will be forthcoming. The club says that more games will be announced in the coming weeks.

Steve Bruce will need to get the most out of pre-season ahead of a challenging campaign. The work that goes on during the summer months can often have a big impact when the Championship kicks into gear.
