Welsh Government press conference: Finance Minister Rebecca Evans announces energy bill help - live
Wales' finance minister Rebecca Evans has said a million households will benefit from a £150 in help towards rising energy bills to people who live in council tax bands A-D.
The payments match a similar commitment by the UK Government made at the beginning of February. In Wales, the £150 will also be given to recipients of the Council Tax Reduction Scheme in all bands.
As announced by Chancellor Rishi Sunak, people in Wales will also be eligible for a £200 discount on their bills, made by the supplier, which will have to repaid over the next five years in £40 installments.
These schemes are on top of an additional £200 payment for people in Wales in low income households. The Winter Fuel Support Scheme is available to homes where one member of the household must be in receipt of certain welfare benefits. It was originally a £100 payment, which was doubled to £200 and will now run this winter and next winter too.
In the press conference, she repeated that UK Government has not provided promised extra funds to pay the £150 to Welsh households - something UK Government denies.
