Wednesday's Jets-Kraken game suspended due to weather
Wednesday's game in Winnipeg between the Jets and Seattle Kraken has been postponed due to "extreme weather conditions" expected to begin in the Manitoba capital on Tuesday.
The game will be rescheduled for Sunday, May 1, 2022 at 1p.m. CT.
"The decision to postpone the game at this time was made in order to minimize the potential disruption to the regular-season schedule in the event the severe weather that is expected to hit the Winnipeg area were not only to force cancellation of tomorrow night’s game, but also prevents timely and necessary post-game travel, including, specifically, the Jets’ ability to travel for their game in Florida on Friday, April 15," the NHL said in a release.
The Jets are sixth in the Central Division with a 35-28-11 record while the expansion Kraken are last in the Pacific with a 23-43-6 record.
