We 'signed' Sasa Kalajdzic for Manchester United and it raised a major transfer issue

Manchester United are reportedly interested in Stuttgart striker Sasa Kalajdzic this summer, with the striker said to be uncertain on his future with the German club.

After an extremely poor start to the 2022/23 Premier League season, Erik ten Hag is still looking to strengthen his squad before the closure of the transfer window. United were poor in attack in their 4-0 defeat to Brentford, and one of the latest forwards to be linked with Ten Hag's side is Kalajdzic.

According to Sky Sports, sources close to the striker have confirmed he wants to join United this summer. The Austrian has one year left on his current contract, and despite making just 15 appearances last season due to injury, the 25-year-old managed six goals and one assist.

Kalajdzic failed to make a great impression in his first season with the club, scoring just five goals in 31 appearances. The Austrian started 28 games, making his goal return even more worrying.

Just two of his goals came in the Premier League, with the 25-year-old scoring once in the Europa League, the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup. Despite his low goalscoring record, Kalajdzic averaged a rating of 7.16, with his involvement away from scoring goals impressing at United.
