'We’ll absolutely destroy you' - Jamie O’Hara warns Chelsea fans about Tottenham clash

Former Tottenham star Jamie O’Hara has sent a warning to Chelsea fans ahead of Sunday’s clash at Stamford Bridge, saying Spurs will ‘absolutely destroy’ them.

Chelsea have beaten Tottenham in their last five meetings without conceding a single goal, with Thomas Tuchel’s side finishing above them last season and knocking them out of the League Cup semi-finals.

But Antonio Conte’s side have strengthened significantly and some have even tipped them to challenge Manchester City and Liverpool for the Premier League title, with O’Hara backing Spurs to become ‘the biggest club in London again’.

Tottenham brought in Brazil international Richarlison from Everton for £60m, Brighton’s Yves Bissouma for £35m and Djed Spence from Middlesbrough for £20m this summer.

Other arrivals at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium include Champions League winner Ivan Perisic as well as back-up goalkeeper Fraser Forster and defender Clement Lenglet, who joined on a season-long loan from Barcelona.

Chelsea, meanwhile, have endured a turbulent period with a change of ownership and squad shake-up as Todd Boehly took over from Roman Abramovich.

Antonio Rudiger, Andreas Christensen, Timo Werner and Romelu Lukaku have all left the club while Marc Cucurella, Raheem Sterling and Kalidou Koulibaly joined from Brighton, Manchester City and Napoli respectively for a total of £140.5m.

O’Hara, who won the League Cup with Spurs in 2007-08, feels his old club will finally get revenge on Chelsea when the London sides meet on Sunday.

‘I think now is the moment for Spurs to turn the tide and become the biggest club in London again,’ he told TalkSPORT.
