'We ditched the UK to live in Spain - it's so much better'

A British couple have swapped the dreary UK for the sun-soaked Spanish city of Murcia, describing their new life as like a "permanent holiday".

Jade Gartshore, 25, who is originally from Leicester, ditched her successful career to chase personal fulfilment and escape the gloomy British weather.

Together with her husband Edward Partis, also 25, who is an electrical engineer, Jade discovered a newfound love for Murcia during their travels.

Last November, they made the bold decision to relocate permanently, and now they can't envision themselves 'ever moving back to the UK.'

"You can get a glass of wine for €3.50, which is crazy, but your day-to-day shopping can be pretty much the same as the UK."

Jade and Edward embarked on a six-month travel adventure in 2023, dedicating five weeks to Murcia, where Jade's parents have retired.

The pair continued their Asian adventure - but found their thoughts constantly drifting back to Spain.

"The whole six months we
