Wayne Rooney has predicted Liverpool will come out on top in the title race - to the delight of Jamie Carragher.
The Derby County boss was appearing as a special guest on Sky Sports' Monday Night Football ahead of Arsenal's clash with Crystal Palace. He covered a range of topics before kick-off and one of those was the tightly-contested battle at the top of the Premier League table.
Manchester City appeared out of sight at the turn of the year but Jurgen Klopp's men have crawled their way back into it. The Reds are now two behind their rivals as both sides meet at the Etihad on Sunday which could prove pivotal in where the championship ends up at the end of the season.
Rooney jokingly wished there were another two teams in contention but admitted he thinks Liverpool can complete the turnaround and claim a huge win on City's patch at the weekend - which was music to the ears former Reds defender Carragher.
