Wayne Rooney gives Man City vs Liverpool verdict that Manchester United fans will love

Wayne Rooney has delivered a Premier League title verdict Manchester United supporters will surely like, as Manchester City and Liverpool go head-to-head for top spot. During a guest appearance on Sky Sports show Monday Night Football, former United striker Rooney said: " I wish none of them [would win the title] to be honest. I think it could go either way. Liverpool are on a great run of form, just as Manchester City are, but I think Liverpool can go to Manchester City and win."

Previewing that mouth-watering Etihad Stadium showdown, Rooney added: " The game on Sunday could decide where the title goes because the two teams, I don't think any of them are going to drop points.

"They both might be the two best teams in Europe at this moment in time and I think City's response to Liverpool winning the early kick-off on Saturday was massive and that is what champions do. When there is a pressure game, they take that pressure away and now they have a very testing game coming up
