WATCH | 'You changed my name, hey!' Youngster who christened Bok lock Eben meets his 'Elizabedi'

The young man who christened a certain Springbok lock "Elizabedi!" as he thundered over the tryline to score against France in the Rugby World Cup quarter-finals has met the man himself.

Siya Dlamini from Volksrust in Mpumalanga will forever be remembered as Siya the baptist, who named the man henceforth known to the nation as Elizabedi.

LIVE | Springbok trophy tour: Cries of 'Siya, Siya, Siya' fill the air as Cape Town welcomes world champs

In a video posted on the Springboks' social media account on Friday, Siya met the towering Springbok who moved the ecstatic young man to joyously proclaim Eben Etzebeth's new name around his living room in a tik-tok video that had South Africans in hysterics.

Admittedly hard to miss in most cases, the 2.03m Etzebeth is instantly recognised by the boy, who leaps into his arms for a heart-warming embrace. And then another.

"You changed my name, hey!" Etzebeth says in mock indignation and Siya simply nods, his face launched into a thousand smiles at the sight of his Bok hero, Elizabedi.

"How do you say his name," someone asks Siya, before he emphatically responds: "Elizabedi! Elizabedi!'

The four-time world champions were in Cape Town for the second day of their World Cup trophy tour on Friday. They will be in Durban on Saturday and East London on Sunday.
