Dhoni landed in Chennai on Tuesday ahead of the upcoming IPL season. Speculation is rife that this season will be Dhoni's final one as a player.

Dhoni struggled with a knee injury during last season, but he guided CSK to a record-equalling fifth IPL title.

After the final in Ahmedabad, The 42-year-old had to undergo a surgery on his knee in Mumbai.

Despite doubts regarding his availability for the upcoming season, Dhoni is all set to lead CSK once again. This will be his 14th season as captain of the franchise.

Last week, MS Dhoni had an interesting update on his Facebook account. "Can't wait for the new season and the new 'role'. Stay tuned!" he wrote. The post started speculation on whether MS Dhoni will be coaching or not.

He later clarified on what he meant by his post. "New season, double role!" he wrote in a Facebook post on Wednesday. The post was actually a promotion for the IPL.
