Watch: Man Utd loanee Dylan Levitt scores brilliant goal for Dundee

Manchester United loanee Dylan Levitt maintained his impressive form with a brilliant goal in Dundee United’s 2-1 win over St. Mirren.

Levitt came through United’s academy and had made one senior appearance for the club, starting in a 2-1 defeat to Astana in the Europa League in 2019.

The midfielder then had loan spells at Charlton Athletic and Croatian side NK Istra 1961 last season before heading to Dundee in August 2021.

He’s established himself as a fan favourite at Tannadice and scored his first Scottish Premiership goal in a 2-0 win over Motherwell in February.

The Wales international made his 22nd appearance of the season against St.Mirren and netted the equaliser in the 57th minute, firing in a wonder-strike from 25 yards out.

“I think over the last six weeks or so we had two games a week, one every three or four days, and that was good to get into a rhythm,” Levitt recently told the Manchester Evening News.

“This is real football now. It isn’t youth, anything else, this is proper. The tempo here is very fast as well, so you’ve got to be on the ball, concentrate for the 90 minutes, otherwise you’ll get punished. I think that’s helping me develop as a player too.

“I think all-round. I’ve just become more confident. I am here and I am going into every game confident, hoping to play 90 minutes and really win the game as well. I said at the start of the season that I wanted to score goals.

“I don’t want to be in midfield without getting numbers; I want to be up there scoring as well. I think that has given me a boost. I set goals before the season and, hopefully, at the end I can look back and say I’ve reached them.”
