WATCH | Leclerc and Verstappen's wheel-banging duel around Silverstone in 2019
2019 was a good year for Formula 1. Lewis Hamilton won the championship for the sixth time, Max Verstappen came into his own at Red Bull Racing, and Charles Leclerc made it to the big leagues when he signed with Ferrari.
But at that year's British Grand Prix, Ferrari's new recruit had to prove his mettle against karting rival Verstappen. The battle for position lasted the best part of 26 laps, with Verstappen ultimately getting the upper hand before the two settled into a rhythm.
By the end of the race, Leclerc eventually managed to get one up over Verstappen, crossing the line in third place while Verstappen was fifth.
