Watch - "Lakha From Lagaan": Horrible Fielding Drives Internet Crazy

A hilarious video went viral on social media, showing a showing a goof-up by a fielder which gifted a boundary to the batting team. The video is from an unknown cricket match, where a batter played a shot towards the long-on, in search of a boundary. A fielder ran towards the ball, in order to stop it from going across the boundary line. In the process, he stepped on the ball and stopped it just outside the boundary rope.

As the ball was stable at it's position, another fielder came at the spot to pick it up but ended up throwing it across the line, giving a free boundary to the batting team.

This has to be the most painful sight for a fielder who did his best to save the boundary.#CricketTwitter pic.twitter.com/Mh8uEcq3oo

Talking about cricket, Team India has gained an unassailable 3-1 lead in the ongoing five-match series against England.

Rohit Sharma and co sealed a memorable series win against England with a five-wicket victory in Ranchi in the fourth Test. Despite top stars like Jasprit Bumrah missing from action, the young guns under Rohit Sharma galvanised into a pack of powerful performers.

Though England looked in control in phases of the game, India were able wrest control with youngsters like Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sarfaraz Khan, Dhruv Jurel stepping up in the series.

Chasing 192 for victory, India slipped to 120-5 but Shubman Gill (52) and Jurel (39) put on an unbeaten stand of 72 to achieve the target during the second session in Ranchi.

The fifth and final Test of the five-match series will kick-start from March 7 in Dharamshala.
