WATCH | Edge-of-your-seat action at the 2022 Formula 1 Belgian Grand Prix

While the Belgian Grand Prix is one of the highlights on the Formula 1 calendar, its brilliance and ability to produce action are almost unparalleled. And it's been the case again at the 2022 edition of the race.

The opening lap saw a barrage of activity, with safety car deployed as early as the second lap. It was epic! But while this was happening, the real action occurred at the back of the grid as Max Verstappen charged his Red Bull through the field from 14th - and winning it!

Elsewhere, the AlphaTauris of Pierre Gasly and Yuki Tsunoda started the race from the pitlane, with Gasly finishing in ninth place. It was a race riddled with action, as the below footage suggests.
