Capetonians swarmed Banyana Banyana star Noxolo Cesane, who hails from Gugulethu, on her arrival at the Cape Town International airport on Sunday, showering her with champagne.
The 21-year-old was one of the breakthrough stars of Desiree Ellis' Women's African Cup of Nations winning team in Morocco.

She started majority of their games at right wing, posing a persistent threat to her opponents during the tournament, which saw South Africa's national women's team make history in Rabat.
After getting a rousing welcome at OR Tambo International Airport with the team last Tuesday, Cesane's hometown crowd carried on the celebrations by warmly embracing her at the arrivals terminal in Cape Town.
Banyana have been the toast of the town for over a week, receiving additional bonuses from the national department of sport (R5.8 million), with Unisa adding bursaries for players and Gauteng's department of sports, arts and culture setting aside R3.2 million for the team and the development of women's football in the province.
