War in Ukraine: Increased NATO presence in Romania is 'legitimate', FM says
Romania, which shares a border with Ukraine, is seeing thousands of people arrive there after fleeing the fighting in Ukraine. Foreign Minister Bogdan Aurescu said that more than 130,000 Ukrainians have entered Romania since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine and at least 40,000 of them have stayed in the country.
"Romania is a safe country" and "open [...] to all those in need", he told FRANCE 24, stressing that this did not just include Ukrainian citizens.
