Wales vs Japan LIVE: Start time, TV channel and team news

Wales play Japan today in their second autumn international. The match is the most important of the November series, with the Welsh team needing a win to ensure they hold on to 12th place in the world rankings ahead of the Rugby World Cup draw on December 3.

Lose, and they face an almost impossible task to be among the second seeds at the 2027 tournament - an outcome that is highly likely to see them handed a group of death.

Steve Tandy has made four personnel changes to his starting XV, with Louis Rees-Zammit starting his first Test in two years and Olly Cracknell in at number eight. Elsewhere, Nicky Smith and Archie Griffin start in the front row, while Alex Mann switches to openside flanker in the absence of Jac Morgan and Aaron Wainwright plays six.

The game kicks off at 5.40pm and is being shown live on TNT Sports. Welsh language coverage is also available on S4C. You can follow the match live with our updates below.

Wales team: Blair Murray; Louis Rees-Zammit, Max Llewellyn, Ben Thomas, Josh Adams; Dan Edwards, Tomos Williams; Nicky Smith, Dewi Lake (captain), Archie Griffin, Dafydd Jenkins, Adam Beard, Aaron Wainwright, Alex Mann, Olly Cracknell.
