Wales team announcement live updates as Gatland names side to play South Africa in final World Cup audition

Warren Gatland will today name his Wales matchday 23 to face South Africa on Saturday in his side's final World Cup warm-up.

Players are being handed their final auditions, with Wales considering unleashing a giant centre combination of Mason Grady and Johnny Williams. Alex Cuthbert is also expected to be involved.

Dan Biggar is set to make his first Wales start of the summer while scrum-half Kieran Hardy, who missed last weekend's clash at Twickenham due to family reasons, is set to be involved in the matchday 23.

Gatland has to balance the fact his players need game-time against the risk of injury. The New Zealander will announce his Wales side this morning and will use Saturday's match to inform his final 33-man World Cup squad selection, which is being made on Monday.
