Wales team announcement Live as Gatland to ring changes for Australia

Warren Gatland will name his side to take on the Wallabies late this evening.

Wales take on Australia in Sydney on Saturday, the first of a crunch two-Test series for Gatland and his charges, and he is expected to make some changes from the side that suffered a heavy defeat at the hands of double world champions South Africa.

We understand Cardiff back Ben Thomas is set to be named at fly-half, while young Gloucester flyer Josh Hathaway will make his debut on the wing, with Liam Williams moving into the full-back spot. You can read more about that here.

There will likely be changes in the pack, too, given there are a number of forwards available who were not able to play against the Springboks owing to injury niggles and the game coming outside of the international window. Wales' clash against the Wallabies take place at the Allianz Stadium in Sydney, with kick-off at 10.45am UK time (7.45pm local time)

We expect the team to be announced around midnight UK time (10am local time) and we will have all the latest for you below, so stay tuned.
