Wales name their squad to face England for Caernarfon international match

Manager Mark Jones has named his Cymru C squad to face their England counterparts in their International Challenge Match on Wednesday, March 30.

The game, which will be the third time the sides have met, will take place at Caernarfon Town FC's Oval ground and the match will be broadcast live on S4C's Sgorio.

England C named their squad last week with three Wrexham AFC players amongst their ranks. Cymru boss Mark Jones has responded by naming a strong squad of 20, all of whom ply their trade in the Cymru Premier- the top flight of Welsh football.

The two teams were scheduled to meet in March 2020, but the game was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The last clash at the Peninsula Stadium in Salford in 2019 saw the two teams play out a 2-2 draw, while England earned a 3-2 victory at Barry Town United’s Jenner Park in 2018.

Here is the Cymru C squad to face England:

Goalkeepers: Alex Ramsay (Bala Town), Connor Roberts (TNS)

Defenders: Mael Davies, Kane Owen (Both Penybont), Emlyn Lewis (Cardiff Met), Dion Donohue (Caernarfon Town), Danny Davies (TNS), Callum Roberts (Newtown), Jake Phillips (Flint Town United), Lee Jenkins (Aberystwyth Town).

Midfielders: Lewis Harling (Penybont), Leo Smith (TNS), Clayton Green (Barry Town), Will Evans (Bala Town) Aeron Edwards (Connah's Quay Nomads), Tom Price (Cardiff Met).

Forwards: Kayne McLaggon (Barry Town United), Darren Thomas (Caernarfon Town), Nathan Wood (Penybont) Ben Fawcett (Haverfordwest County).

Tickets for the game, which gets under way at 7pm on Wednesday March 30, are now available and can be purchased on the FAW website.
