Virgil van Dijk reveals how Liverpool FC squad reacted to victory over Manchester United

Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk admitted Jurgen Klopp's side would not take their convincing 7-0 win over Manchester United for granted, but insisted the Merseyside outfit would quickly move on.

The home side scored six times without reply in the second half to condemn United to their heaviest defeat since Boxing Day 1931. It was Cody Gakpo, who was previously on United's transfer radar, who gave the Merseyside outfit the lead in the clash. Shortly after that, Mohamed Salah got in on the act to smash a thunderous effort past David de Gea to make it 4-0 to Liverpool. Nunez converted with a header to add a fifth before Salah got his second. Substitute Roberto Firmino completed the scoring for Klopp's side, adding a seventh with two minutes of normal time left on the clock.
