Video shows devastating aftermath as family 'lose everything' in house fire

This is the moment a heartbroken family saw their entire home had been destroyed following a devastating fire. Flames spread from an upstairs bedroom at Stacey Doocey and Jayce Hogan's home, in Cheetham Hill.

Soon, the whole property was affected. Thankfully, the family managed to escape without harm, but they are now rebuilding their lives after 'losing everything'.

The family captured video footage of the fire last Thursday evening (October 6) and the moment they returned to inspect the property, on Corbridge Walk. Inside, the structure of the home appears wrecked after the blaze, while belongings are ruined.

Stacey, 32, had lived at the house for 12 years. She lived there with her daughter Emaleah, 13, Jayce's son Kodie, seven, and the couple's two young children Jayce, one, and seven-month-old Alyssa.

"They've lost everything, they are traumatised," said Stacey. "It was Kodie's birthday the other week and he's lost all his presents.

"They lost their school clothes, the lot. But I'm just glad everybody is safe."

Friends of the family set up a GoFundMe fundraiser to help them rebuild their lives. By Tuesday afternoon (October 11), almost £2,000 had been raised.

The cause of the devastating blaze remains a mystery to the family. They had been downstairs when the smoke alarm began to sound.

Thankfully, Emaleah was out of the house at the time the fire broke out in her room. "We went upstairs and the room was glowing orange," said Stacey.

She added: "We've lost everything. We just literally left the house with the clothes on our back.
