Victor Osimhen's agent sends Manchester United message on Napoli star's future

Napoli striker Victor Osimhen's team claim reports regarding his future already being decided are not true.

Osimhen has enjoyed a brilliant season for the Serie A leaders. In 32 appearances, the 24-year-old has scored 26 goals and this has led to interest from further afield.

MEN Sport understands Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane is Erik ten Hag's key target in the summer as he bids to fill the void up front. However, should United find it difficult to sign Kane, Ten Hag has drawn up a list of alternatives.

Among those is Osimhen who the Dutchman is understood to be a fan of. With his contract running out in 2025, the Nigerian international could be attainable should he not sign a new deal.

But, according to his representatives, no decisions have yet been made. "Everything that is being said is false," they told Mundo Deportivo.

"It’s early to talk about the transfer window. A lot of people are trying to destabilize at this point. There is nothing."

Recently, Osimhen has also cast doubt over his future but, in an interview with Sport1, he claimed he was unsure what lies ahead of him. "I don't know what the future holds," he explained.

"I think I'm on the right track. At the end of the season, I will sit down with my agents and discuss everything.

"I will also be in talks with the club. I am incredibly grateful to Naples. We will find a good solution together."

United have been in need of a striker since Cristiano Ronaldo's departure in November. Wout Weghorst was signed on loan in January but the Burnley man is not expected to return to Old Trafford next season.
