Vicky Pattison says she 'had to learn the hard way' as she opens up on response to egg freezing journey

Vicky Pattison has told her fans that she had to 'learn the hard way' as she opened up about the response she has received to being open and honest about her egg freezing journey.

The former Geordie Shore star was seen shedding tears of joy after revealing her egg freezing journey with fiance Ercan Ramadan had been a success during a film she recorded for ITV's Lorraine.

Speaking during the exclusive segment on Lorraine, called Vicky Pattison - My Journey To Motherhood, she told viewers: “I’ve just had a call from the lab and out of six mature eggs, that we decided to turn into embryos, three have survived the fertilization and blastocyst process, so that’s pretty amazing."

Brimming with emotion, she explained: "That means three little me and Ercans are going in the freezer. I’m over the moon!" She then joined Lorraine and Dr Hilary live in the studio on Tuesday (June 20), Vicky shared: "When you're freezing your eggs you're so focused on the end goal…

"You don’t even consider the journey and how you get there. I actually think that was a huge reason why I've decided to do this. I just think most women who do it are unprepared, so I underestimated the process."

Explaining her decision to wait to have a family later in life, Vicky, 35, said: "I’ve had moments where I think, ‘come on just do it now’, but the thing is, I’m trying to be responsible, Lorraine. I want to be the very best parent I can be, and in order to be that, I have to do it at the right time.

"So I’m hoping that in the next couple of years I’ll be able to conceive naturally, but if I can’t and if anything does happen, I have that security blanket so to speak."
