Vernon Kay has fans double take over picture 'of wife Tess Daly' when it's really Hollywood A-lister

Vernon Kay has been flooded with messages after fans were left doing a double take over a picture they thought included Tess Daly - but was actually a Hollywood A-lister.

As fans of the radio and TV star know, Vernon has been married to Strictly Come Dancing host Tess since September 2003. They tied the knot at St Mary's Catholic Church in Horwich, near Bolton, Vernon's hometown, and in their more than two decades together, the pair have welcomed two daughters, Phoebe and Amber.

But it wasn't Tess that Vernon was seen with when he took to Instagram with a throwback snap. To mark interviewing Cameron Diaz on his BBC Radio 2 show this week about her new Netflix film, Back In Action, with Jamie Foxx, the broadcaster posted a picture of the pair from 2003.

Alongside the snap on Instagram, Vernon wrote: "@camerondiaz @iamjamiefoxx on @bbcradio2 with our quiz 10-2-TheTop at 10.30! Here’s a 2003 throwback with Cameron when I hosted the Charlie’s Angels premiere!! My Finest David Dickinson impression!!"

Tess was quick to respond to the post, writing: "Love her," with a number of love heart emojis. But some fans couldn't help but think Cameron looked just like Tess as she leant into Vernon's shoulder while sporting a black and gold detailed dress with a turqoise blue trilby hat.
