Van Dijk, Ramos, Dias, Varane, Matip: FIFA 23's highest-rated CBs predicted
FIFA 23 is edging closer for the gaming world who love the football simulator, giving a chance to reset your accounts and start from scratch with new look teams and player ratings.
Whether that be your new Ultimate Team, quest to division one or the journey to Pro Clubs immortality with your friends, the new release is always eagerly anticipated.
Whether used throughout the year as a top centre-back or decided to be used as SBC fodder on Ultimate Team, those rated 84 and above will always have a use on the game.
The new player ratings are always discussed in depth, with gamers always disagreeing on some of the top players. Dexerto have predicted the top centre-backs in the new edition of the game, so let’s get into the top 15.
Unsurprisingly, Virgil van Dijk leads the way with the only defender reaching 90 potential. Given it’s hard to argue a case against him being the best in the world, this will likely happen.
He’s closely followed by Ruben Dias, who has been key to Manchester City’s dominance, being predicted at 89 rated whilst Marquinhos is next with an 88 rated card expected.
Chelsea new boy Kalidou Koulibaly just misses out on a top three spot at 87 rated, before getting into a string of 86 rated players which includes, Milan Skriniar, Aymeric Laporte, Giorgio Chiellini, Sergio Ramos and Matthijs de Ligt.
After a disappointing season, Raphael Varane is expected to receive a downgrade and thus kicks off those predicted to be 85 rated with Mats Hummels, Thiago Silva, Stefan de Vrij and David Alaba.
Then completing the top 15 we have a whole host of 84 rated predictions to pick from, so whilst he isn’t alone in the rating, we thought we’d chuck Joel Matip into the conversation given his exploits with Liverpool.
