Van de Beek should NOT have joined Everton says ex-Man Utd star Parker
Former Manchester United defender Paul Parker fears Donny van de Beek may have made a mistake by joining Everton on loan for the rest of the season.
The Dutchman signed for the Toffees on deadline day having struggled to break into the United first-team under Ralf Rangnick.
Van de Beek was a high profile £35million summer signing for former United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the summer of 2020, but he has struggled to get any run in the first team since.
Now, former United defender Parker admits that the Dutchman needed to leave Old Trafford to show his full ability, seen during Ajax's extraordinary run to the 2019 Champions League semi-finals.
‘Donny van de Beek needed to go. He needs an opportunity to prove himself,’ Parker told BonusCodeBets via the Metro.
