Valtteri Bottas sends Formula 1 field warning over Lewis Hamilton for this season

Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton is going to be fired up after the way last season ended and the rest of the Formula 1 field needs to be wary, warns the Briton’s former team-mate Valtteri Bottas.

Hamilton will be looking to challenge again for the world championship this season in F1 after seeing it dramatically taken away from him on the final lap of the final race of the 2021 campaign at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

Indeed, he has already said over winter testing that we’ve seen nothing yet in terms of his form after he finished 2021 so strongly, and it sounds as though Bottas is buying into what Lewis is having to say.

Speaking ahead of the new season which gets underway with the Bahrain Grand Prix on March 20th, Bottas warned the rest of the pack that Hamilton will be seriously fired up to try and make amends for how last season ended:

“After everything that happened at the end of last year, you’ll see.

“He will be pretty strong and he will have the fire inside him, so beware!”

2022 has the makings of a very exciting season.

The new rules and regulations are coming into play and it appears that the cars look very dramatic and a real challenge for the drivers to wrestle with.

We’re bound to see the best rise to the top as ever and, of course, if Mercedes have once again aced their car you can expect Lewis Hamilton to be extracting every last bit of performance out of it.

Certainly, he’ll be hugely motivated for the coming campaign and it’s going to be fascinating watching him take on the challenge.
