Urgent appeal to find missing man last seen near hospital

Police have issued an urgent appeal to help find a missing man from Tameside.

Hubert was last seen near Tameside General Hospital, in Ashton-under-Lyne, at about 10.30am on Thursday (December 19).

The 69-year-old, whose surname has not been released, is described as a white male, around 5ft 11ins. Officers say he is "potentially wearing glasses".

Hubert was last seen wearing black trainers, a black jumper, and a navy blue waterproof coat with red stripes on the inside collar. Officers say they want to make sure Hubert is "safe and well".

Greater Manchester Police has issued two images of Hubert as part of a public appeal shared on social media.

Anyone with information about Hubert's whereabouts should contact police on 101, quoting log 1426 of 19/12/24. Always call 999 in an emergency.
