Urgent appeal for missing man, 38, who left home without saying where he was going
An urgent appeal for help tracing a man from Wigan who has gone missing from home has been issued by police.
Geoffrey Gaskell, 38, from Ashton-in-Makerfield, left his home this morning without saying where he was going and left behind key personal belongings including his vehicle keys and mobile phone.
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) have now issued an appeal via their social media channels. Officers say they are now becoming "increasingly concerned" about Mr Gaskell and "want to make sure he is safe and well."

The last sighting of him was on Patterdale Road, just off Wigan Road in Ashton-in-Makerfield, between 5am and 7:30am this morning, Wednesday, June, 8.
He is 6ft tall with a bald head, blue eyes, and short, dark beard, and has a tattoo of black writing on his right side of his neck.
Anyone who sees Mr Gaskell or who may have information about his whereabouts should is asked to call GMP on 101 - or 999 in an emergency - quoting log number 530-08062022.
