Urgent appeal for missing man, 38, who left home without saying where he was going

An urgent appeal for help tracing a man from Wigan who has gone missing from home has been issued by police.

Geoffrey Gaskell, 38, from Ashton-in-Makerfield, left his home this morning without saying where he was going and left behind key personal belongings including his vehicle keys and mobile phone.

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) have now issued an appeal via their social media channels. Officers say they are now becoming "increasingly concerned" about Mr Gaskell and "want to make sure he is safe and well."
