United Rugby Championship Round 14: All you need to know

With several teams having played catch-up over the Six Nations period, the United Rugby Championship table is starting to take shape as we head into the back end of the season.

With just five games of regular season rugby left for many of the playoff contenders, every result between now and the end of May has the potential for big implications on seedings in the knockout stage.

Leinster, Ulster and Munster all look certain of a place in the playoffs, and are also on track for home advantage in the post-season.

However, Connacht's season is hanging by a thread. With five games left for Andy Friend's side, it seems highly unlikely they will finish in the top eight unless they can pick up at least four wins.

If they are to go on a winning run, a victory against the defending champions and leaders Leinster would be the perfect way to kick things off.

That's the highlight of this weekend's URC action, while Munster get things under way on Friday night, looking to get back on track after their two defeats in South Africa. Johann van Graan's side welcome Benetton to Musgrave Park.

On Saturday, Ulster will hope to be the first of the touring sides to win in South Africa, when they take on the Stormers in Cape Town.
