United Rugby Championship Round 10 team of the week: Snyman impresses on comeback

The Irish provinces were back in BKT URC action at the weekend and almost came away with a full house.

Munster impressed in a 42-7 win at Scarlets, while Leinster overcame a sticky first half to beat second-place Benetton 47-18.

Connacht battled their way to a 16-12 win in Cardiff, while Ulster lost to a last-gasp dropgoal at Ospreys, 19-17.

Here's our team of the week.

15. Mike Haley (Munster)

Busy outing for Haley as he made his first start of the season. Linked well for Munster's try and had a direct assist for number 5.

14. Sean O’Brien (Munster)

The winger got himself on the scoresheet with a lovely in-out finish in the corner for Munster’s fifth try. Prior to that he made the run and well-timed pass for the bonus-point try.

13. Liam Turner (Leinster)

The young Leinster centre scored the pick of the seven tries at the RDS. Taking the ball 35 metres out, Turner showed great pace and power to make the line. Ran 74 metres with ball in hand.

12. Jamie Osborne (Leinster)

Another assured performance from Osborne as he made his return from injury. Kicked well and had involvement in Leinster’s second and sixth tries. Made five successful carries, two offloads and won a turnover. Named player of the match.

11. Andrew Smith (Connacht)

The lively winger impressed in difficult conditions as Connacht fought their way to an important victory. Constantly came looking for work and made 70 metres with ball in hand off five carries with two clean breaks.
