'Unbelievable' - Sky Sports man blown away by news that came out of Leeds

Pundit Paul Robinson has praised Andrea Radrizzani for his incredible ownership after it was revealed that Leeds United made a profit last season.

Last season was Leeds United’s first back in the top flight of English football for 16 years, and they impressively finished ninth in the Premier League table. On top of having an impressive season on the pitch, it was recently revealed that the Whites made an operating profit of £5m.

There have been reports that 49ers Enterprises may take over 100% ownership of the club in the future, as they currently own just 44%.

With the plans for the 49ers to become main shareholders of the club, Robinson told MOT Leeds News that he wants Radrizzani to have a part to play in the future after his impressive achievements so far at the club.

He said: “To stay in the Premier League and make a profit is an absolutely incredible achievement. We know that the second season is the hardest one to stay in the Premier League but to also record a net profit is an unbelievable achievement.

“The club has been very well run since Radrizzani came in – he’s been an outstanding owner. I know there’s a lot of talk about the 49ers coming in and taking the majority shareholding but whatever happens, I personally want to see Radrizzani stay as part of the club. It’s become a big part of his life and I don’t think he would let it go.

“I think from a Leeds fans’ point of view and my point of view, I want him involved in making decisions for the club going forward.”
