Unai Emery hits back at fan for request after Southampton 1-2 Villarreal

A video has emerged of Unai Emery hitting back at a fan after Villarreal’s clash against Southampton on Saturday afternoon.

The Spaniard was back on English shores for his side’s friendly against Southampton at St Mary’s Stadium.

Last year’s Champions League semi-finalists won 2-1.

Goals from Yeremy Pino and Gerard Moreno either side of Joe Aribo’s strike ensured Villarreal emerged victorious.

After the match, Emery posed for pictures and signed autographs for fans outside the stadium. That’s when he clashed with a group of fans.

Emery was asked to say ‘Good ebening’ by one individual.

That is of course reference to his time at Arsenal.

Emery always used to say ‘Good evening’ to start his press conferences but his accent made it sound like ‘Good ebening’. He was then consequently trolled by some football fans on social media.

So, when a fan asked him to say ‘Good ebening’ to them, Emery wasn’t having any of it. View footage of the exchange below…

“Can you say ‘Good ebening?” Emery is asked. Another supporter says: “I think you done very good at Arsenal…”

Emery was not amused and responded by sticking his middle finger up at the camera.

Emery’s actions have gone viral with many sticking up for the 50-year-old.
